Guidelines for Adopting Teacher Technology Competencies from SEIR-TEC (2000), p. 106-108 Teacher technology competencies must be: Linked to pedagogical competencies, Part of the professional component of your strategic technology plan, Linked to the availability of the technology infrastructure, Related to basic applications and systems, and Must be described in understandable terms.

Adult Learning Theory  (Knowles, 1990) Adults learn best when they are a) given a voice in:  determining the topics of study,  shown how the class will help them connect new learning to their existing knowledge &/or experience base, & are provided with a program that is organized &  has clearly defined goals and course objectives.
